Pet Checklist
Boarding requirements are essential for one primary reason: to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of every single animal within the facility, as well as to maintain a safe and manageable environment for the staff.
VACCINATIONS: Dogs need proof of current vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper, Leptospirosis and Bordetella (kennel cough). Cats require Rabies and FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia) and proof of vaccinations is required.
PARASITE PREVENTION/CONTROL: Proof of current flea and tick prevention (topical or oral) is required. Our facility may inspect pets upon arrival and administer treatment if necessary (at the owner's expense). We may ask for recent deworming or a clear fecal test, especially for puppies/kittens.
HEALTH & WELLNESS: Pets must be in good general health, free from contagious illnesses (e.g., coughing, diarrhea, vomiting, open wounds) upon arrival. We may refuse to board visibly sick animals.
EMERGENCY CONTACT & MEDICAL INFO: Owners must provide their veterinarian's contact information for emergencies. An alternative contact person in case the owner cannot be reached. Clear, written instructions for any medications, including dosage, frequency, and administration method. Detailed information on diet, feeding schedule, and any known food allergies or sensitivities.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Owners are encouraged to bring their pet's own food to avoid dietary changes and upset stomachs. We allow a favorite toy or blanket to help your pet feel more secure, while others may restrict them to prevent loss, damage, or resource guarding. We ask that you do not bring in any outside bowls for water, we have got that covered!
